This photo of Julian Hapurona and I at a housing protest outside Gerry Brownlee's Ilam office epitomizes our joint commitment to the cause, and the life and times of our relationship concerning Occupy Christchurch where we met and camped for 2.5 months. This is taken at a time approximately 6 months prior to Tamati's conception, but I thought it best to include this aspect of Tamati's parents' lives to show a clearer picture of his journey into existence in the tormented world in which we all, currently, live our lives. Julian's sign reads:
CRISIS:
A time of intense difficulty, trouble or danger.
(This was a joke sign, designed to draw attention to Mr Brownlee's refusal to recognise that Christchurch was [and still is] in the midst of a housing crisis)
